Out in the Light & Breakfast Pizza

Psalm 139:11-12 (csb)

If I said, “The darkness will definitely hide me; the light will become night around me,” even then the darkness isn’t too dark for you! Nighttime would shine bright as day, because darkness is the same as light to you!

Have you ever been in that place? You know the one; where you’re already too far gone. You’ll never be loveable, and never be worthy – right? That might be what humans see, but it’s not what God sees.

In the Bible, the word darkness is used to describe sin and evil, and also times of distress. All too often, we think that once we’ve reached a certain place, we’re better off surrounding ourselves with darkness instead of seeking the light. Maybe you think there’s no place for you out in the light.

But you aren’t a vampire, friend. It’s okay to step out into the light, because your God already sees you, exactly as you are, and He loves you. Think of God as having built-in night vision goggles – no matter how you try to hide from Him, he still sees. And he’s still chasing you. I know sometimes it’s hard to believe that there’s life beyond the darkness you’ve been living in, but today, your challenge is to speak God’s truth over your life; He sees you, He loves you, and He will deliver you from any and every challenge.

What have you been hiding from God? Use your quiet time today to bring everything into the light, and allow God to show you.

For the courage to be seen and known by God.
