Isaiah 30:19 (nirv)
People of Zion, who live in Jerusalem, you won’t weep anymore. When you cry out to the Lord for help, he will have mercy on you. As soon as he hears you, he’ll answer you.

Imagine you’re waiting on an extra important delivery; your friend is getting married and your Rent The Runway dress is on the way! You’re pacing the house, waiting on the doorbell to ring, but all you can hear is what sounds like a faint car alarm outside. Eventually, you outside to see where the alarm’s coming from, only to find the UPS driver standing at your door. He’s holding your dress, and he tells you that he’s been ringing the doorbell for some time now. It turns out that the batteries in your doorbell were dying, and the sound you were expecting to hear never came. But that doesn’t mean that your doorbell wasn’t ringing.
God will always respond to your cries. His Word gives us that promise. However, His response might not always (or ever) be what we’re expecting to hear, and in turn, we might actually miss it all together. Are you crying out to the Lord and waiting for His response? Do you feel unheard or unnoticed because you aren’t receiving a response?
God knows what our prayers really mean; He knows what our hearts really need. If you’re praying for something specific, it might be a representation of what you actually need. One thing is certain; you are heard, and your words are valuable and important to God. He hears each and every one of them. So what sounds like a distant car alarm might actually be your long awaited delivery just outside your door.
