Girlboss Interview “Beauty & The Beehive”

Written by Olivia Grist

You know that feeling when lightening strikes, and you’re pretty sure that a tiny, little idea just came out of nowhere that could impact the lives of so many people? Well, that happened to me recently, and my wheels were spinning… a million miles per hour! To the drawing board… and here we are!

Many of you have seen me post about my transition over the last year, from unhappy nurse to full time girlboss – and I get questions all the time about how I was able to do it. BUT – today’s not about me. I can tell my story over and over again, and some of you will love it, but some of you will think I’m crazy, or not understand my journey, or just not be able to relate to me – and that’s okay! We are all different and draw connections to certain people.

So, why not feature other ladies who are living their dream? You see, it’s not just me and it’s not just fitness that can provide you with an amazing opportunity to live a life you love. Women everyone are dreaming big, following their passions, and coloring outside the lines of the conventional cubicle.

Today’s crazy amazing girlboss is Molly Ingram! We live in the same area, but have never met in real life (let’s change that, by the way!). That hasn’t stopped me from stalking her pages though. She is super creative and everything she touches turns to pinterest-worthy.

I first noticed her blog, Beauty & The Beehive because of it’s cute & simple design, and down to earth posts. It has something that I can relate to in every post that is added. So, who is this girl behind the keyboard?

Molly is a follower of Jesus, a wife to a nurse, a new mommy, a cosmetologist, and a blogger. She has been blogging for about a year, and she hit the ground running with her great info and tutorials. When I asked Molly who her ideal reader is, her response was perfect. “It’s for the every day girl, just like you and I. Someone who is looking for some quick tips.”

After spending just a few minutes looking around her site, you’ll see just how true that is. You can find everything from hair & beauty tips, DIY & home decor tips, and even advice for new moms.

Molly has big goals in the works for her blog, so there will be lots to keep an eye out for soon. She will continue to add new video tutorials for hair and beauty tips (which is SO helpful for those of us without a creative gene in our bodies), and she even has a new aspect to her business coming soon – furniture rehab! Told ya, it’s like she looks at something and it becomes beautiful. Hair, houses, furniture – you name it!

My favorite part of our interview was Molly’s advice for other women who are looking to start their own brand, blog, or business. “I would just say have patience and pray. I just can’t stress the praying enough. It takes a lot more than just you to make things happen, so you have to rely on God and everyone else around you.”

You can check out our full interview here.

If you haven’t already, follow Molly’s blog to keep up with her crafty ideas, and let her inspire you to make everything in your life just a little bit more beautiful!

I hope you see that whatever you’re dreaming about is possible. Like Molly said, a little bit of patience and a whole lot of faith can take you anywhere!
