Romans 3:4 (easy)
I’m slowly learning to stop basing my faith off of the words of creation, and instead, to base it on the words of the Creator. His Words are true and good. Isn’t it comforting to stand on God’s Word, because like this scripture says, He doesn’t lie, manipulate, or seek harm? We can find peace in His words because He is trustworthy.
We can believe in what He says and His promises, not just today, but forever. It’s essential to constantly examine our beliefs and thoughts and question where they came from. If they came from flesh, there’s a chance they could be a lie. That’s why we have to always hold them up against God’s Words, because as Christians, that’s our constant. This means being open to the possibility that things you’ve thought up until this point could be wrong.
But don’t worry, friends! This shouldn’t cause you shame or guilt, but instead, it should offer you freedom. Because those priors beliefs that were built from lies isn’t a representation of you, but a representation of sin in the world. Now, we have the freedom to learn from the only One who always shows up and speaks the truth. That’s something to be celebrated today!
What beliefs and thoughts do you need to examine? In your journal, write down anything that God brings to your heart and mind this morning.
Ask the Lord to gently guide you through this exercise of searching your thoughts and lead you to His truth.
