Psalm 25:15 (msg)
This verse is reminder; it’s the Holy Spirit speaking to us through God’s Word. He’s telling us to stop looking everywhere for answers and purpose. He’s gently prompting us to stop looking inside of ourselves for answers, and to look to the only One who can provide the truth and guidance we’re longing for.
If we fix our eyes on Him and allow Him to lead us, we can be sure we’re going the right way. When I try to navigate the course, I’m never certain that I’m taking the correct path. Every choice I make is a challenge, every turn I take is cause for doubt and fear. But when God leads the way, we know we won’t stumble over our own feet.
For lack of better terms, sometimes, we just need to get out of the way. Often times, our only job is to focus on the Lord, yet we take on so many additional duties that were never meant for us. All that’s being asked of you today is to look to Him. I’m constantly reminded that without Him, I’m nothing, so there’s nowhere else my focus needs to be.
Do you struggle to focus on Jesus when the world seems to be constantly giving you more and more to do? How can you take time today to just be with Him?
Ask the Lord to lead you as you step back and hand over the reigns to Him.
