Comfort Zones & Cheesy Breakfast Bread Bake

Matthew 7:3 (GW)

So why do you see the piece of sawdust in another believer’s eye and not notice the wooden beam in your own eye?

Every time I get the chance to explore, my understanding of life expands. Not philosophically, like actually.  When I didn’t understand someone in the past, my reaction was to judge them. Now, it’s to lean into them and spend time with them. The only way to really love someone is to know them, and the only way to really know them is to immerse yourself in their life; their experiences, their thoughts, their struggles, and their joys.

We were created to love people, and that often means leaving the comfort of our houses, our sweat pants, our circles, and comfort zones. I’m forever grateful for the chance to do that, and always reminded just how important it is.

Do you struggle with judging others that you don’t understand? Does stepping outside of your comfort zone and leaning into those with different beliefs or ideas make you feel uneasy?

Ask the Lord to open your mind and heart so that you can love all of His people.
