This week has been FREEZING in Ohio, which always puts me in the mood for some warm soup! Just because it’s comfort food doesn’t mean it needs to kill your hard work for the week. Check out this clean crockpot chili, with a little sweet potato for a surprise!
Here’s how to make it:
Brown lean ground turkey stove top, and drain. Put in a crock pot with 1 can of organic tomatoes (this is from Trader Joes), 2 cups of brown rice (cooked or non-cooked), 3 cups of water, 1/2 sliced yellow onion, 1 sliced sweet potato (uncooked and skin still on!), 1 can of kidney beans, 1 tablespoon of chili powder, 1/2 tablespoon of oregano, basil, crushed red pepper flakes, and himalayan sea salt to taste. Stir around and cook on low for 8 hours! 🙂
